We went to Nakamura Tokichi main store in Uji city、Kyoto. Originally, it has been a tea leaves store. In recent years they have also been focusing on selling sweets using green tea. It is a popular store that is inevitable to wait in a long line and frequently reported by media.

To tell the truth, I was so impatient that I used to avoid all such stores that could line up in the past.

But lately I can wait in the line. My age has made me feel relaxed, and visiting popular restaurants can be topic of my blog in this way. My wife is a kind of hipster , she is very pleased when I take her to such a place.

I was ready to wait for 2 hours, so It was O.K to wait for about 30 to 45 minutes. It seems that we need to wait in a the line more than two hours on Saturdays and Sundays.

We wrote our name on the waiting board. We were the 102nd pair of guests today. About half of customers were Chinese.

After going through the shop curtain, the inside was wide, and we could enjoy the view of the garden where a pine tree, which is said to be 600 years old and shaped like a sailing ship, has its branches stretched out, and we could kill the time browsing  their products sucha as matcha sweets and tea leaves at their souvenir shop.

Even if you wait here, you don't have to make a line. As long as you wait at any place on the premises, the clerk will called your name or number. This system helps us a lot.

After waiting for about 35 minutes, We were guided to the terrace seat facing the courtyard and had the signboard menus, Matcha Jelly and Hojicha Jelly.
